A creatina tem como principal função fornecer energia para contração muscular. Durante a atividade física os músculos precisam de energia para essa contração, tal energia é fornecida quando há a quebra do nucleotídeo ATP (adenisina trifosfato) em ADP (adenosina difosfato). Durante o treino as reservas de ATP se esgotam e é necessário um tempo maior de descanso muscular. Aí entra a creatina, que fornece fósforo rapidamente ao músculo fazendo a conversão do ADP em ATP, que está pronto para ser quebrado novamente e liberar mais energia, resumindo: a creatina fornece aquele "up" necessário para a contração muscular, dessa forma consegue-se fazer uma série mais intensa e com mais carga. • BENEFICIOS: Aumento da força e volume muscular; Menor desgaste muscular; Maior disposição para a realização de treinos mais intensos; Fornece energia para mais repetições e mais carga. USO: • Saturação: Durante uma semana é ingerido uma dose diária de 0,3g de creatina por quilo de peso corporal. • Manutenção: Nesta fase é ingerido aproximadamente 2 gramas de creatina por dia.
